Check out a brand new video from Amy, a Belfast born and raised singer/songwriter titled “Little Girl“. Amy is a strong vocalist and she’s put all her emotions, passion and experience to work on this new piece.
Amy is young, talented and unique. And just like most people, she’s been through ups and downs. Knowing that there are more people out there like her, she decided to tell her own story to encourage and uplift others. In her own words;
‘Little Girl‘ was written by me as I wanted to tell my story . A true story of a young girl from the care system going through the struggles with a mother who was addicted to drugs and left me in foster care there was violence in the family home me seeing things a little girl should not of ever seen.
The song is raw and real and that’s how I wanted to tell my story. I’ve continued to become a strong woman that i always knew i could be . I’ve sung in bars and clubs for years and I was bored I felt like I wanted more. I wanted to tell the story of a child in care instead of always hearing about how hard it was for the parent’s. What better way to become stronger than to own my story and tell the world how far I’ve came.
Amy is currently working on her EP due to be released within the next few months.
As part of her campaign and increasing demand from her fans, she’s put up a local gig on the 28th July titled “A NIGHT WITH AMY“. She’s also drafted some local artists to perform. The venue is Longfellow Bar at My Lady’s Road, Belfast.
Video was shot and directed by Steven Mullan.
